News flash! Airtel Zambia is giving away free 5GB internet bundles and 60 on-net calling minutes. They have dubbed the giveaway as “4G offer – 5GB, 60 mins” – it was previously “4G LTE offer”. To get the giveaway, subscribers have to redeem it by dialing a USSD shortcode. However, it is a one-off redemption, subscribers who have already redeemed the 4G LTE offer are not eligible.
Attempts to redeem the offer for the second time will result in a denial of service message. “Dear Customer, kindly note that free 5GB and 60minutes LTE offer has already been given for this mobile number.”
If you would like to know what the Airtel Zambia 4G LTE offer is – you are in luck. It is a 1GB incentive Airtel gave to customers who swap their old cards for the new 4G capable SIM cards. Currently, the 4G LTE offer has an increase in data from 1GB to 5GB with an addition of 60 minutes.
Clearly, Airtel Zambia is doing something positive for its subscribers. However, this could be an attempt at redemption – for hiking Airtel Money transaction fees.
Dial *575*3# to benefit from the offer. Initially, you will be greeted with a screen saying: “To activate free 5GB and 60 minutes offer”. Reply with the number 1 and wait for a response, a confirmation message will come through if your redemption is successful.

In this situation, the redemption of free internet bundles holds for the Airtel Zambia subscriber in comparison to the many fake links shared on WhatsApp purporting to give away free data.
Summing up, it is safe to say that Airtel has outperformed MTN Zambia on the data and minutes freebies in terms of volume. On the other hand, Zamtel is not giving away any free minutes or data.
Finally, why do you think Airtel Zambia is giving away free minutes and data? Feel free to post your comments below and share this article with your friends.
we are on quarantine and why can’t you give us free data bundles…aaah this is not fair
I know right. It’s not fair, I however believe something will come up from Airtel.
